Vin Santo del Chianti DOC Riserva 2017

24,00

Amber-colored wine, it opens on the nose with sweet and intriguing hints of candied fruit, tobacco and dried fruit that explode with intensity on the palate, a dense wine with a mild note of flavour that gives a delicate balance of aromas. On the palate it is warm, full-bodied, where the high sugar component is however balanced by the typical acidity of Vin Santo.

Production notes: the wine is obtained from the drying of Trebbiano and Malvasia del Chianti grapes, harvested in boxes in September and left to dry naturally in the air until December. Once the drying is complete, the now concentrated grapes are pressed and the must ferments first in steel and then finishes the fermentation in wood (kegs, barriques or tonneaux), where it remains for at least five years. During the long stay in wood, the wine undergoes oxidation and further concentration processes which give this wine unique and extraordinary characteristics.

Dessert wine, but above all for meditation, which can age for many years in the bottle.
